Mashed Potato and Sausages

We did not prepare anything new that we have not posted already, but I just could not resist taking a picture of our dinner, to share on this blog. 

We had sausage stroganoff with mashed potatoes or korv stroganov med potatismos, when directly translated to Swedish. Details on how to cook our version of this meal is found here.

The sausage used in dish variations of sausage stroganoff is called Falukorv, which is a large Swedish sausage that is a grated mixture of pork and beef or veal with potato starch flour and mild spices. For more information about the Falukorv, please click on Wikipedia. Sausage stroganoff is one of my favorite dishes and I was definitely lucky to live in a country where it originated from.
