Quick Sarap Dinner with Cevapcici and Spinach
When you are too busy with your schedule, there are times when the effort you want to put out would be in eating dinner rather than preparing it. I would like to think that we got the solution for that since you can easily grab good food off the shelves, mix them together on a plate, and start on that meal. Here's one of the easiest meal we have prepared with ingredients that we stock at home.
Ingredients:
Cevapcici
Frozen and chopped spinach
Risoni (pasta shaped as rice)
Bearnaise sauce
Start boiling the risoni, with salt and some oliveoil (this makes it not overboil and of course add flavour)
The meat should preferably be defrosted before frying, but start with that anyway to get a nice fried surface. Once the cevapcici has a nice color you can add the spinach and lower the heat in order for the meat and spinach to slowly cook all the way through.
Rinse the pasta and put it back in your caserole and add some butter. Stir it around and serve instantly.
Put the cevapcici on top and pour some sauce over the dish.
Dinner is served!
Cevapcici may not be that easy to find in all local stores, but ask around. These are bought in Lidl, which provides the cheapest and frankly the best product so far.
