Pulled Pork Barbecue with Rice |
Ingredients for the Rice
- 4 dl Rice
- Water
- Salt
- Measuring Cup
- Small Casserole
- Fork
Directions for the Rice
- Boil water with salt. For every 1 dl of rice, use 1.5 dl of water into the small casserole.
- Add the rice.
- Use the fork to separate the rice.
- Cover the casserole and let simmer.
- Switch to medium heat.
- Let sit for 16 minutes, remove from the stove and leave the rice in the casserole for about 8 minutes more.

Ingredients for the Pork Shoulder
- A cut of Pork Shoulder
- 2 dl Water
- 1 dl Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp. Honey
- 1 tsp. Five Peppers spice (Santa Maria)
- 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
- Mix the soy sauce, honey, and spices in a small bowl. Put aside.
- Put the pork shoulder in a large-sized casserole, add water, and set to medium heat.
- Let it simmer for 3 to 4 hours. When it dries up, add some more water. Use a fork to try to pull the meat afterwards. If it slowly comes off, the meat is ready.
- When all water has evaporated, pour the barbecue sauce into the casserole with the meat.
- Stir fry a little.
- Serve with rice and vegetables on a plate.
