Easy To Prepare Homemade Taco Pie

We prepared this during a party at home, fed about 20 people, alongside other dishes. Some of our friends actually brought this with them afterwards. It is tasty, easy to make, and light on the budget. So, let us get started!


Dough Crust for the Taco Pie
Dough Crust for the Taco Pie

Ingredients for the Crust
  • 4 dl All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 150 grams Butter
  • 1 1/2 dl Milk
Directions for the Crust
  1. Mix together flour, salt, baking powder and butter in a food processor.
  2. Add milk.
  3. Leave the dough to cool for 15 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in the middle of a baking mold -- preferably 28 cm. with removable edges. Start kneading outwards the edges of the mold.
  5. Bake for 10 mins at 200°C.
Minced Beef for the Taco Pie

Ingredients for the Taco Filling (Minced Beef)
  • 600 grams Minced Beef
  • 1 tbsp. Butter
  • 1 Packet Taco Spice (Santa Maria)
  • 1/2 dl Water

Directions for the Taco Filling (Minced Beef)
  1. Fry the beef in butter in a big frying pan.
  2. Add the Santa Maria Taco Spice.
  3. Add water.
  4. Stir a little, and place the meat into the molds with crust edges.


Tex Mex Santa Maria Original Taco Spice Mix 40g


Ingredients for the Topping
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper, sliced or chopped
  • 4 dl Crème Fraîche
  • 4 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 dl Grated Cheese
  • Salad
  • Taco Sauce

Directions for the Topping
  1. Scatter red bell pepper on top of the meat that has now been placed in the baking mold.
  2. Mix Crème Fraîche, mayonnaise and onion. Spread on top of the meat.
  3. Cover with grated cheese.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes at 200°C.
  5. Serve with salad and taco sauce.
